I really dislike doing a bad review and try to avoid at all cost but I felt like I got tricked and conned. Today I bought a car and for that I really appreciate Mesa Motors for working with me and my situation. I was referred to Mesa Motors by a friend because my credit is poor. I have 2 repos due to me going through a rough divorce. Now I am a single father of 2 beautiful boys just getting back on my feet as I make $75K a year at my job. Will do whatever it takes so that makes me very vulnerable right now. When I reached out to Mesa Motors they were more than willing to help me and my situation. I was so grateful. Haven’t seen my boys in weeks cause I had minimum ways to get to them due to distance. When I got there I got approved for a 2017 Nissan Maxima and I was so proud. Another step in the right direction. I wanted something more foreign but I have to crawl before I run and I had accepted that. 30 minutes later before filling out the paperwork they told me due to unexpected fees and taxes they were charged from the finance company they had to switch the car to a 2017 Malibu or they would lose money on the purchase. I understand business cause I work for a thriving one so I understand that a company has to make money but cmon on the late switch up. Even bought the insurance for the Nissan already. Something didn’t feel right then and I should have went with my gut. However I was already approved and didn’t want to go through the process again. Again very vulnerable. I checked around the car briefly and it was fine. Inside was clean and looked good and just needed a wash. I went back inside to complete the paper work. Signed all the papers. I was happy to begin my rebuilding stage and pick up my boys finally. After I signed the paperwork I was told that the a/c might not work. What? Really? After I signed everything. The weather cooling down but we still live in the desert it is still over 100 degrees. I as told they will try to fix it come Monday but that wasn’t convincing since they said just ride with cold water and the weather will be cooling down soon. They advised not to drive during the day. Well what about a work and getting my little men to school. While we all have road with no ac before I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Let alone will I let my 2 boys ride with no ac when the car would be over 100 degrees inside. Although I appreciate Mesa Motors for giving me a chance. It should be illegal to sale a car in AZ without AC. I would not have signed anything if I would have known about the ac like they did before hand. Would rather take the bus or Uber in ac. The car ride home was at night and I was sweating with the windows down. They said they will make it right but I don’t know. People say a lot of things. Its true what they say. Good guys really do finish last. I will update this review and complaint once they do make it right because other than that they were people trying to make a living. If you are getting a car and your vulnerable like me I suggest you just wait until you have a bigger down payment to purchase. I would like to think that people wouldn’t take advantage of vulnerable people but they do just so they can make commission cause they got families to feed too. So got to look out for yourself at all times.
